New Lions Welcomed
New Lions Welcomed
The Hampton Bays Lions welcomed 5 new members at our November meeting. The dissolution of the local Lioness chapter has brought us a new group of ladies that will help bolster our efforts in the community. We welcome Margot, Gloria, Laurie and Linda from the Lionesses as well as Mike. We look forward to an exciting 2022.

New Lions Welcomed
If a child in HB schools can’t afford glasses the Lions will help pay for them.
Recently a girl in the HB Middle School broke her one and only pair of glasses. The girl has a very strong prescription due to her sight issues and had already gotten a new pair of glasses within the year so her insurance would not cover another pair. Unfortunately, the girl was largely unable to see in class without them. The HB Lions were there to serve by donating $550 for for a new eye exam and the fitting of new glasses. This young lady now sees clearly and is able to do her school work once again.
Where there is a need, there is a Lion.

The Lions Support Our Library
The printing costs or Large Print newsletter in the HB Public Library is funded by the Hampton Bays Lions.
Thanks to the fundraising of the HB Lions the Large Print newsletter is completely paid for each year. And has been paid for by the Lions for many, many years. The cost for the printing is about $1,000.00 each year that taxpayers do not need to absorb in their property taxes because the Lions take care of it.
So, enjoy the library news and thank a Lion.
